Mark joined GSG Capital Advisors in mid – 2009 as Managing Director and Fixed Income Portfolio Manager to develop a fixed income department to compliment Glenn Goodstein’s 17 years of managing equities and special investment opportunities. Mark’s core philosophy is to preserve the client’s principal first and earn a fair return, with little tolerance for capital risk. With Mark, GSG Capital Advisors offers advisory services based on proprietary fixed income models including, tax-free municipal bonds, corporate bonds, dividend yielding stocks and MLPs. Additionally, Mark publishes a weekly letter with news, economic and interest rate markets updates.

After graduating from Boston University in 1982 Mark began his investment career with a small private banking holding company in New York. As Vice President of Channel Investments, he had oversight of more than a dozen acquisitions ranging in size from $5 million to $50 million. In 1985, Mark joined Prudential-Bache Securities in Beverly Hills, CA where he began advising private clients on their fixed income portfolios. His research into the underlying financial performance of the debt issues he recommended solidified his decision to focus on ‘safe sector’ investments, and protect his clients by avoiding as much risk as possible. He continued his bond practice until the mid-1990’s when he was hired to reorganize and eventually head up the operations of a $90 million/year company in Los Angeles. Mark came back to the financial advisory business in 2004 with UBS Financial Services in Beverly Hills and resumed his bond practice advising high net worth individuals, small corporations, non-profit organizations and foundations.

Since the beginning of his career Mark has a history and track record of service. He has served on numerous charitable and civic boards including The Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce (Board of Directors), The Boys and Girls Club of Bell Gardens (Board of Directors), Childrens Library Foundation of Los Angeles (Board of Directors), Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills (Board of Directors) and Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles (Board of Directors). He was also the Chairman of the 1992 Nissan Los Angeles Open PGA Tournament.

Mark currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife and their young son.
